Redhead

Redhead is a reef break near Newcastle offering fairly consistent waves, especially during summer. The left-hand reef break is more favorable than the right, with northeast swells providing the best conditions. Ideal winds come from the north-northwest, while northeast winds offer some shelter. The water temperature is pleasant at 23.5°C, but surfers should be cautious of sharks and crowds when the waves are good.
