Located on the Mornington Peninsula, Portsea Back Beach is a consistent beach break that works year-round. The best waves come from southwest swells, with northeast winds providing ideal conditions. This spot produces both left and right-handers, with mid-tide being the sweet spot. While the water is cold, requiring a wetsuit, the uncrowded lineup makes it a great escape. Be cautious of rips, sharks, and localism when surfing here.
