Located where the Gualala River meets the Pacific, this spot delivers inconsistent but rewarding waves, primarily from southwest swells. The break offers both left and right rides, though it’s best suited for intermediate surfers due to rocks, rips, and occasional shark sightings. East winds create ideal conditions, but the cold water requires a wetsuit. Despite its remoteness, localism and hazards like strong currents make caution essential.
