Located in LA County, Ballona Creek and Jetty is a beach and jetty break that delivers fairly consistent waves, especially in summer. The best conditions occur with northeast offshore winds and west-southwest swells, producing left-handers that peak around low tide. Intermediate surfers will find the waves challenging but rewarding, though the spot can get crowded when conditions are good. Be cautious of rocks, strong rips, localism, and pollution in the water.
