Shanklin (Hope Beach)

Located on the Isle of Wight, Shanklin's Hope Beach is a sandbar break with waves that perform best during winter. The southwest swells and west winds create the ideal conditions, with waves breaking both left and right. Best surfed around high tide, the spot is suited for intermediate surfers but requires caution due to strong rips. Water temperatures are cold, so a wetsuit is essential.
