Sponge bay

Sponge Bay is a beach and reef break in Gisborne, New Zealand, offering fairly consistent waves suitable for all skill levels. The best conditions occur with south-southeast swells and offshore north winds, producing both left and right-hand waves. Water temperatures average around 20.8°C, making it comfortable for surfing.
