The spot works well at any tide and handles a mix of groundswells and windswells, especially from the northwest. Southeast winds provide the best conditions, though cross-shore breezes can be an issue. Surfers should be cautious of rocks, sharks, strong rips, and localism, as the spot can get crowded. Water temperatures remain warm year-round at 27.5°C.
