Southport Main Beach

Located on the Gold Coast, Southport Main Beach is a popular beach break with consistent waves fueled by east-southeast swells. The surf works well in all conditions, and offshore west winds create clean rides. Suitable for intermediate surfers, the beach offers both left and right-hand waves that hold shape regardless of the tide. Expect crowded conditions when the surf is good, and be cautious of strong rips and undertows. Water temperatures remain pleasant year-round.
